The web video probably works on all the popular sites. Infact by accident I did download a video off Utube. It seems to start up when ever I view a video. I was unable to get it to work on a private site. I am not sure if it was a permission issue or what but I had the site burn to DVD and mail to me. I have no need for the Web Video Downloader anymore.

Not sure yet, but so far things seem to be working. Still trying to get used to features and some of it's functions. But it is doing my main interest so far, and I have hopes it will prove quite useful.

I was looking for a tool to capture a flash presentation from the web.
The tool did not perform and/or I could not find the way to get it working.
Conclusion:
I deinstalled the tool.

Why do I want to download videoclips from internet? Beacuse you can not always trust the net. As you now the net is not always available. Doint presentations it is very convenient to have a copy of the file on the desktop.

Pretty good tool. Doesn't work for all forms of online movie content.

Most of the major American broadcasting companies block content outside of US.
Shame your tool can't grab from them. Thought it might have been able to. Can't watch my favourites.

Have not had a TV for a few years as the internet has become more important than TV so I tend to watch most stuff online now. US TV shows are not easy to see.

I have tried a few software programs to try and download flv files, but Sothink is for me the easiest to use and also the fastest. The quality of the downloads are very good too.

It was really easy to use and there's an instant pop-up from where you can download from. I can download quicktime movies that I couldn't have downloaded with other machines, and it saved my ass for doing a movie report once! My biggest issue here is that it doesn't download the music too. I tried downloading music from iMeem but I did but the resulting file couldn't play. One more thing, this thing might have made the stand-alone program not work, but I'm not sure.

Anyways, keep developing this baby. Me and my friends think it's really promising...

Pretty straightforward program. Doesn't take much effort to capture video, perhaps not the answer if you're looking at high quality reproduction, but easy enough if you just want to save something you've viewed.

The interface, altogether, is really easy to use and understand.
Although, when downloading videos, the program doesn't automatically add the ending ".flv" to each video. It would be nice if there was a feature that you could turn on and off that allow the program to just automatically add that ending.
